Lybergsgnupen

Lybergsgnupen stands as one of Dalarna's most prominent peaks, reaching 657 meters above sea level. Situated within the Lybergsgnupen Nature Reserve, this mountain offers a rewarding hike through old-growth spruce forests rich in biodiversity. The reserve is home to several rare species of lichens and mosses, including the long-bearded lichen and the large-spored fire fungus, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts.The hike to the summit is approximately 2.5 kilometers one way, starting from Öjs-Lyberget's summer pasture. While the distance may seem modest, the trail is steep and challenging in places, with a height difference of about 200 meters. Hikers begin their journey through dense coniferous forests, home to many bird species and rich biodiversity. As the trail climbs higher, the terrain becomes more rugged, and views start to open up. The final section includes rocky slopes and sparse vegetation, culminating at the peak with its wide, panoramic vista.At the summit, hikers are rewarded with expansive views over the surrounding forests, lakes, and distant mountains. On clear days, it's possible to see as far as the Norwegian border mountains. A windshelter and fire pit are located near the summit, offering a perfect spot for a rest, picnic, or simply to enjoy the silence and scenery. A summit logbook is also available for visitors to sign.The nature reserve is also of ecological importance. Its high-altitude spruce forests and open rocky slopes provide habitat for several red-listed lichens and mosses. The area has been left mostly untouched by forestry and is a valuable example of Dalarna’s natural heritage.Lybergsgnupen is best suited for experienced hikers or those in good physical condition. The trail is marked with signs and orange markings but requires proper footwear and preparation. In winter, the area can be visited with snowshoes or skis, offering a completely different kind of adventure.

Purpose: Leave the house clean, fresh and ready for the next guests. It does not need to be professionally cleaned, but it should be tidy and hygienic.

General Areas

Remove all trash and dispose of it in the outdoor containers.
Return furniture to its original position.
Make sure no personal belongings are left behind.

Living Room

Tidy up (no trash or loose items).
Wipe tables and surfaces.
Arrange sofa and cushions neatly.
Vacuum the floor.

Kitchen

Wash dishes and put them away.
Empty the dishwasher (if used).
Empty the refrigerator and freezer (no food left behind).
Clean the cooktop, countertops and sink.
Empty trash bins and fit new liners.
Leave the oven empty and clean.

Bedrooms

Open curtains.
Remove used bed linen and place it near the washing machine.
Vacuum the floor.
Leave closets empty and tidy.

Bathroom

Clean the toilet (bowl and seat).
Rinse the shower and remove any hair.
Clean the shower screen.
Clean the sink and mirror.
Place used towels near the washing machine.
Clean the bathroom floor.

Final Check

The house should look similar to how it did upon arrival.
Inform the host of any issues or damage.
