Cleaning Checklist

Only if you clean the house yourself (in addition to the Mandatory Light Departure Check)

Purpose: Leave the house clean, fresh and ready for the next guests. It does not need to be professionally cleaned, but it should be tidy and hygienic.


General Areas

  • Remove all trash and dispose of it in the outdoor containers.
  • Return furniture to its original position.
  • Make sure no personal belongings are left behind.

Living Room

  • Tidy up (no trash or loose items).
  • Wipe tables and surfaces.
  • Arrange sofa and cushions neatly.
  • Vacuum the floor.

Kitchen

  • Wash dishes and put them away.
  • Empty the dishwasher (if used).
  • Empty the refrigerator and freezer (no food left behind).
  • Clean the cooktop, countertops and sink.
  • Empty trash bins and fit new liners.
  • Leave the oven empty and clean.

Bedrooms

  • Open curtains.
  • Remove used bed linen and place it near the washing machine.
  • Vacuum the floor.
  • Leave closets empty and tidy.

Bathroom

  • Clean the toilet (bowl and seat).
  • Rinse the shower and remove any hair.
  • Clean the shower screen.
  • Clean the sink and mirror.
  • Place used towels near the washing machine.
  • Clean the bathroom floor.

Final Check

  • The house should look similar to how it did upon arrival.
  • Inform the host of any issues or damage.
